
Police in Spartanburg say two people went nuts over doughnuts, starting a fight over the weekend. Police responded to a reported incident at the Krispy Kreme location on North Church Street in Spartanburg around 7:30 Sunday night.

Upon arrival, officers were told that a man and woman had started an argument with an employee in the drive through. The argument escalated when the couple went in to the shop and began yelling at employees. One employee who tried to diffuse the situation was pushed to the floor and hit his head during the fall. A female employee also tried to step in, she was also shoved to the ground.
Police say, the incident started when the man and woman tried to order doughnuts the location did not have. Two employees were injured in the incident and were taken to an area hospital to be treated. As of Monday evening, one employee was still in ICU. No arrests have been announced as of this time and the incident remains under investigation.
