A Greenwood County woman has been arrested on drug charges in Oconee County.35 year old Leila Nell Rushton of Ninety Six is charged with intent to distribute meth and possession of a controlled substance. The charges stem from an investigation following the late October arrest of 39 year old Bradley Scott Cantrell.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office went to a residence near Westminster October 27th and made contact with Rushton and Cantrell. Rushton was released from the scene due to insufficient evidence. Search warrants were obtained and executed on a vehicle registered to Rushton.
Investigators say the search of Rushton’s car turned up meth and other substances. Cantrell faces charges of trafficking meth and heroin, a weapons violation, possession of a stolen vehicle and a myriad of other charges.
