The discovery of a gun caused a commotion earlier Thursday at an Upstate elementary school. Pickens County School District Officials say a student brought a gun to West End Elementary in Easley and left it in a classroom.
Administrators and a School Resource Officer investigated and recovered the gun which was not loaded. The District says no threats were made concerning the weapon.
Officials have not announced what punishment the student will face, there's been no arrests announced following the incident.
