The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says their detectives have arrested a woman after a lengthy investigation into the death of her child.
That investigation began in mid-December last year after investigators were called to AnMed following the death of an infant. Lab results determined the infant's blood had high levels of morphine which led to Murder/Homicide by Child Abuse charges for the infant's mother, 34 year old Tynisha Lashae Jones of Anderson.
Jones was arrested Friday and is being held in the Anderson County Detention Center after being denied bond.
