An animal in the roadway led to a massive pile-up on an Upstate highway over the weekend. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a horse in the roadway on I-85 Northbound caused the multi-car crash. The collision happened just before noon Saturday in Spartanburg County between mile marker 82 and 83.
The Highway Patrol says the pony was running in traffic and that led to a crash involving 7 different vehicles. There's been no word on where the animal came from or how it got on I-85? Luckily, there was only one reported minor injury from the crash.
