A gruesome discovery was made in the Midlands, earlier this week. Officials responded after skeletal remains were found during a renovation project at a home in Columbia, Wednesday afternoon.
The Richland County Coroner's Office has confirmed that the remains were that of a human. Further testing is being conducted to determine the identity of the remains.
