The man who's body was found in Cherokee County Monday evening has now been identified. As we previously reported, the man had been found face down in a pond on a farm in Blacksburg.

Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler has identified the man as 25 year old, Carlik Marqis Gill. He had been reported missing from the Blacksburg area on September 1st. A Tattoo led to a positive ID on Gill.

His cause and manner of death are still pending. An Autopsy is slated for Thursday to determine more of the details surrounding his death.
