An inmate has been charged after another inmate died at an Upstate jail, earlier this year. In late March, 24 year old Michael McMahan died while in custody at the Oconee County Jail.
SLED Investigators say, that inmate Jordan Scott Tilson punched McMahan in the head causing him to fall and hit his head, resulting in his death.
Tilson has now been charged with voluntary manslaughter. He remains in custody in Oconee County.
