SLED is investigating after an inmate was found dead at an Upstate jail. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says an inmate was found unresponsive in their cell at the Detention Center, around 230 PM, Thursday.
The Sheriff's Office says the inmate was found with a self-inflicted wound and was bleeding heavily. The inmate was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff's Office says no one else was sharing the cell.
