The inmate that escaped an Upstate jail earlier this week, has now been apprehended. As we previously reported, Shoemaker escaped from the Cherokee County Detention Center, Monday night.

Shoemaker was located and captured in Shelby, North Carolina just before 8AM this morning. He was being held in Cherokee County on armed robbery and other charges. Shoemaker was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center and will be extradited back to Cherokee County.
