POLL: Do you think that South Carolina should take in Afghan refugees?

Governor Henry McMaster on Tuesday said that he is committed to accepting Afghan refugees that hold Special Immigrant Visas (SIV’s) for resettlement in South Carolina.
McMaster said during a press conference that many Afghan refugees helped protect Americans during the war effort. According to The State, a reporter asked if he’d welcome refugees to South Carolina.“It is our duty to help them. They helped us, we need to help them.” - Governor Henry McMaster
