A reported shooting at an Upstate fast food restaurant turned out to be self inflicted and apparently accidental. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to the McDonalds in Boiling Springs, Wednesday night.
A juvenile male 1st told deputies that he shot himself in the hand. He then changed his story saying that s suspect came into the McDonalds and shot him. Investigators say that once he was transported to the hospital, the juvenile admitted that he shot himself.
The Sheriff's Office reports a lack of witness cooperation in the investigation, which they have cited as an ongoing issue in shooting cases around the county.
