Lake Greenwood is bordered by Greenwood, Laurens and Newberry Counties. It was created in the 1930's and stretches over 11,000 acres. If not taken care of properly, pollution can build up along the estimated two hundred and twelve miles of shoreline.

Buffer zones, created from native, beneficial plants, binds the shoreline and strengthens it to absorb wave energy and prevent erosion. Lake Greenwood Photo credit Greenwood County
