An Upstate town has a new leader for its police force. The City of Laurens has announced that Keith Grounsell will take over as police chief. He takes over Chrissie Latimore who is leaving the post after being nominated by President Biden to be the U.S. Marshal for South Carolina.
Grounsell is a former Special Agent with the DEA and served as the Chief Police in Simpsonville from 2012 through 2016. Laurens Mayor Nathan Senn says, Grounsell will officially take office next week.
