Oconee County Officials are investigating after a man was found unresponsive and floating face down in Lake Keowee. A boating accident and drowning was reported to 911 dispatchers around 10:45PM Sunday night.
A 72 year-old man was found in the area of Backwater Landing near West Union. Attempts to resuscitate the man were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at 11:25PM. The coroner's office has not yet released the victim's identity.
