An investigation is ongoing after a man was found dead at a public park in Laurens County, Wednesday. The Clinton Police Department responded to a report of a possibly unresponsive man at the Clinton City Park.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the man was dead. His identity has not yet been revealed. SLED Crime Scene Investigators were called in to assist in the investigation.
There's been no further details released, but the Clinton PD did say that the man's death was an isolated incident and there was no threat to the public.
