Man Shot While Walking Dogs

A man walking his dogs in South Asheville Tuesday night, was shot.

Police found the man outside a home on Forest Street, sufferering a gunshot wound to the stomach.

According to the APD Facebook Page, 'The victim told officers he was walking his dogs outside when shots rang out from passing vehicles.'  Nine shell casings were found in the area.

There was also damage from bullet holes at a nearby residence.

Officials said the man was transported to Mission Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
