It's been mayhem in the mountains, as a rash of shootings have taken place in Asheville recently. The latest of which happened, Monday afternoon. Police responded to Mission Hospital around 3PM after a gunshot victim arrived there.
The victim told investigators the shooting had happened on Haywood Road and the victim was able to flee the scene and get to the hospital. Officers found a truck in the parking lot that had been damaged by gunfire.
No arrests have been announced in the case. It's the 4th reported shooting in Asheville, in recent days. The city has had over 200 shooting incidents so far this year.
