The teenaged suspect in a deadly shooting at a North Georgia fast food restaurant is being charged as an adult.

As we previously reported, the Elberton Police Department responded to a shooting at the McDonald's there, Tuesday night. The shooting claimed the life of 17 year old McDonald's employee Dontavius Marable.

The GBI says suspect now identified as 15 year old Justin Cleveland of Elberton turned himself in Wednesday. Investigators say Cleveland shot the victim after an argument between the two ensued in the lobby of the McDonald's.

Since he's being charged as an adult Cleveland does face a potential maximum sentence of life in prison.

Federal law prohibits underaged offenders from being sentenced to the death penalty, even if they are tried as an adult.
