
Some of America's fast-food restaurants like McDonald's are closing indoor dining areas or limiting hours of operation due the spread of the Delta variant in the United States. According to statistics, McDonald's Corp had temporarily shut down indoor dining at almost all of its U.S. locations in early 2020, but had reopened 70% by the month of July. Just last week, McDonald's gave its franchisees steps to darken dining rooms in places where the Delta variant is rapidly spreading.
