The Governor's office says its lowering future taxes for South Carolina businesses. Governor McMaster and Workforce Director William Floyd announced decreases in unemployment insurance for in-state businesses beginning in 2024.
Governor McMaster said " There is no better time to be in business in South Carolina. The state’s leadership has worked hard to make strong financial decisions that maintain a healthy unemployment insurance trust fund which will benefit employers in the coming year" The Governor's Office reports that this is the third straight year they have been able to lower business taxes.
