The Easley Police Department is counting on the community to come forward with information to help identify a suspect vehicle possibly involved with mailbox tampering.

The Department has released a photo of the vehicle, below,  an early 2000’s Nissan Altima with significant damage to the rear passenger side door.

Officers say the passengers of that vehicle messed around with several residential mailboxes in the area of Patio Road, Pearle Drive, and additional streets located in the area of Pelzer Highway the night of June 27, 2024, Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Easley Police Department at 864-859-4025.

According to the United State Postal Inspection Service website, Mailboxes, and the mail inside, are protected by federal law... Those who are convicted of destruction of federal property could spend up to three years in jail and be fined up to $250,000.
