A Mexican National with ties to the Upstate is headed to federal prison on drug trafficking and weapons charges. The U.S. DOJ says 45 year old, Sergio Magallan-Tinoco also known as "John Migo" was responsible for trafficking more than 20 kilos.
Court records say that Upstate Law Enforcement agencies conducted controlled buys of cocaine and fentanyl from Tinoco. A subsequent search of his home turned up additional cocaine and a loaded pistol.
Tinoco has a prior conviction for intent to distribute cocaine. He has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, there's no parole in the federal system.
