The man accused of gunning down Spartanburg County Deputy Austin Aldridge last month is now facing more charges from that day. SLED has now charged 63 year-old Duane Leslie Heard of Spartanburg with Armed Robbery, Domestic Violence, Two Counts of Pointing and Presenting a Firearm and Failure to Stop for a Blue Light.

These charges follow the Officer Involved Shooting that killed Deputy Austin Aldridge on June 21. Heard was served warrants at the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Center. The case will be prosecuted by the 7th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
