A mother and her infant son who drowned in a Western North Carolina creek earlier this month have been identified. Officials in Caldwell County say Chelsea Jackson and her one year old son were pulled from the water at Wilson Creek, on July 20th.
Emergency crews responded and rescued three people in total from the water. However, Jackson and her son Oliver were unconscious and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Chelsea Jackson was a paramedic who worked for the Piedmont Medical Center EMS in Rock Hill. She was described by those she worked with as "A friend to so many".
