The judge says jurors hearing the case against Alex Murdaugh will NOT hear anything about the accused double-murderer's botched suicide attempt.
Prosecutors wanted to present evidence and testimony about the 2021 roadside episode Murdaugh later admitted was a staged effort. It was done so his surviving son could collect a multi- million-dollar life insurance policy.
Prosecutors say he wanted to make it appear that the it was make it apepar that the killers of his wife and younger son had come back to target him. But Judge Clifton Newman sent the jury out of the room.
