The man found dead after a house fire in Western North Carolina last week, has now been identified and his death is being investigated as a murder. The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office responded to a fire at a home on East Mountain Way, June 30th.
Upon arrival, a man identified as 51 year old, Jimmy Lamar Long Jr. was found dead inside the home. Preliminary autopsy results has prompted the Sheriff's Office to investigate Long's death as a homicide. No further details have been released, as of this time.
