Spartanburg Police say, the man whose body was discovered beneath the North Forest Street bridge Monday morning is a homicide victim. Police were called to area of North Forest and Clinton Streets around 3 AM.
Someone who was in the area when they arrived told them a man had been found under the bridge, apparently not breathing.
The preliminary report from the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office says, he had been bludgeoned to death, beaten several times with some kind of blunt object. His identity has not been released.
