The U.S. Department of Agriculture has issued a nationwide recall of Johnsonville turkey kielbasa sausage.
Food Safety and Inspection Service says the sausage, produced by Salm Partners in Wisconsin, may be contaminated with rubber pieces or other foreign materials. The Johnsonville Polish Kielbasa Turkey is vacuum-packed, containing one 12 ounce piece of sausage.
It has best-by dates of May 17th and May 18th, 2024, and also bear the establishment number “P-32009” printed on the side of the packaging. The USDA advises to throw the sausage out or return it to the store where it was purchased.
So far, no adverse reactions or injuries have been reported. Customers who have questions about the recall can contact Johnsonville by calling at 888-556-2728 or contact Stephanie Schafer, Director of Global Corporate Communications for Johnsonville, at sschafer@johnsonville.com.
