A North Carolina suspect who was seen punching a woman in Charlotte in videos that went viral, is now in custody. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department says 32 year old, Diquan Hunt was arrested, Thursday night.
Hunt is accused of being seen sucker punching a woman in viral social media videos during an incident, July 30th.The woman was knocked out in the incident. Further video footage shows Hunt chasing another woman and trying to assault her. She appeared to have escaped by running away into more public view.
Both victims were white women and some pundits believe the incidents were racially motivated. Hunt has not been charged with a hate crime, as of this time. He is however charged with assault. Reports say, Hunt has been arrested more than a dozen times in the past.
