Following an annual performance review by the Greenville County Schools Board of Trustees, Superintendent Dr. Burke Royster has been offered a contract extension through 2026. He also has been offered a 2% raise to align with the salary increases provided to GCS staff.
Dr. Royster's leadership was assessed in 6 different categories. Board Chairman Roger Meek in a statement said “We recognize and appreciate Dr. Royster’s leadership during the continued disruptions of the pandemic throughout the 2021-22 school year."
