No exclusions when it comes to play time.
Parks and Recreation Officials broke ground Tuesday, October 29, 2024 in downtown Greenville as they embark on a new, All-Inclusive playground.
Made possible through a generous gift by a Greenville family in honor of their daughter, "Brooks'" playground "will offer an engaging place that provides the just-right level of challenge along with many opportunities to succeed" for kids with special needs.
Expected to open next spring, the over 10,000 square feet of play area will be located near Shelter 6 in Cleveland Park, 85% shaded.
According to the City of Greenville, "the project is funded by $2.3 million from the City and $1.3 million in private donations." To read the full article, click HERE. Other improvements are also planned for Cleveland Park, including a renovated rain garden, new restrooms, and a relocated turf volleyball court.
