News Talk 98 9 WORD has received multiple nominations for the South Carolina Broadcasters Association's STAR Awards for excellence in broadcasting.
The Tara Show is a finalist for Radio Personality of the Year. The Charlie James Show is a finalist for Radio Host of the Year. 98 9 WORD is also a finalist for South Carolina Radio Station of the Year, which this station has received in 2018 and 2021.
Two other Audacy brands in our Greenville group of stations are also finalists for awards, including Cole Bryson for Sportscaster of the Year from the Fan Upstate.
The winners will be announced at the STAR awards ceremony at the Medallion Conference Center in Columbia on Saturday August 1.
