Authorities say, no evidence was found to back up reports of shots were fired at a rap concert in the Upstate, over the weekend. The Greenville Police Department began investigating after they say, people were running through the concourses of the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, claiming that shots were being fired. The reports came at the conclusion of the performance by rapper Lil Baby, Saturday night.
Officers that were on hand working the concert say, they did not hear any gunshots and after investigating the claims, they determined that there was no shooting.
The arena released a statement over the weekend saying, they used an advanced weapons detection system at Saturday's event like they do at other large concerts. They also said, no significant injuries were reported from the incident.
