A North Georgia woman is charged with murder after deputies say she intentionally drove into a man, resulting in his death Deputies with the Franklin County, Georgia Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence incident involving a vehicle, Thursday night.
At the scene, deputies found Roy Adam Gentry. He was flown to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he later died. The Sheriff’s Office says its investigation determined 32-year-old Lisa Marie Peeples drove the vehicle toward at least two people, striking Gentry.
Deputies say two children witnessed the collision. Peeples was arrested and charged with murder, aggravated assault, homicide by vehicle, hit and run, and multiple other crimes.
The Sheriff’s Office says additional charges could be coming, after the case is presented to a grand jury in Franklin County.
