An Oconee County man is facing charges of kidnapping and 1st degree domestic violence. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39 year old , James Tab Cogdill of Walhalla Wednesday morning on charges stemming from an incident earlier this week.
On Tuesday, Deputies responded to a disturbance call at a local business and made contact with Cogdill and a woman who had locked herself in the bathroom.
The Sheriff’s Office says, the woman claims Cogdill had assaulted her at his residence, wouldn’t allow her to leave and had taken her phone. As of Wednesday evening, Cogdill remained in custody on a $25,000 bond.
