An Oconee County man is facing charges following a fight that led to a shooting. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says, 24 year old Matthew Dillard Fowler faces charges after he shot a man earlier this week.
Investigators say the two men were fighting inside a car prior to the incident, which happened just after 9 PM Monday night in Westminster. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment for a gunshot wound to the leg.
Fowler was taken into custody just over an hour later at a home in Westminster. Fowler faces charges of Attempted Murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
