Oconee Man gets 25 years for sex crimes against child

An Oconee County man is set to spend the next quarter of a century behind bars. The South Carolina Attorney General's Office says 59 year old, Scott Norman Christner of Seneca has been sentenced to 25 years for 1st Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct With A Minor. Judge Cordell Maddox handed down the sentence Wednesday.

Investigators says they received a tip from a middle school that a student had reported being sexually assaulted. The investigation then got underway and revealed that Christner sexually assaulted the victim multiple times, when she was just 8 years old.
