The Greenville County Coroner's Office has confirmed the deaths of the two young women whose bodies were found Monday, in the Pelham Road-area apartment they had shared, as a case of murder-suicide.
Coroner Mike Ellis says 23 year old Kimyetta Melton had been shot several times by 26 year old Angel Micquel Patterson who then turned the gun on herself.
The coroner's report says they lived together at the Briargate Place townhome where family members had sent Greenville police after being unable to contact either of them, and finding the door locked from the inside.
