After funding for a plan to bring a new soccer stadium to Greenville County was voted down last year, it could now be re-visited. The proposed stadium would be off of I-385 in Mauldin's Bridgeway Station. It would serve as home to the Greenville Triumph and Greenville Liberty Soccer Clubs.

Supporters of the plan are expected to be at Tuesday night's Greenville County Council meeting, however the project is not listed on the council's meeting agenda.

Last year, the estimated cost of the project was about 40 million dollars in total. The Council's Finance Committee voted 3-2 against the plan in 2022. One of the two voters in favor was Councilman Dan Tripp, he represents the Mauldin area and is now the Chairman of the council, which has 4 new members since last year's vote.

Joe Erwin one of the owners of the Triumph is leading the effort to propose a new stadium design which is about 2,000 seats larger than the original plan. The Council's Finance Committee is set to meet Monday March 27th and the plan is expected to presented to them, at that time.
