One person is dead after a crash in the Upstate, Friday afternoon. The fatal wreck happened on I-85 near mile marker 42 in Greenville County. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the driver died at a an area hospital after being taken there for treatment.
The crash reports say the driver went off the road and hit a utility pole. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
