One dead and another arrested after fatal Georgia jet ski crash

A North Georgia man is in custody after being charged in a fatal jet-ski collision that killed his brother.

Shortly before midnight Friday, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources responded to the Poplar Springs boat ramp on Lake Hartwell. Two brothers jet-skiing, were involved in a crash.

Officers learned that 27 year old  Phillip Samuel of Lavonia, Georgia, was struck by his 20 year old brother. Samuel was pulled from the water, but life-saving measures performed were not successful.

According to Authorities, the younger brother was arrested and booked into the Franklin County Georgia Detention Center for boating under the influence of alcohol. He's been identified as 20 year old, Jonathan Dylan Samuel.
