One person is dead and another is injured following a shooting in the Upstate, Wednesday afternoon. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting on Halsey Avenue just before 12:30PM.
Upon arrival, deputies found one victim that was injured and was transported to a local hospital. They found another victim inside the a car that was pronounced dead at the scene. The Coroner's Office has identified the victim of the fatal shooting as 19 year old Tayshawn Khalil Thompson from Union.
There's been no arrests announced as of the time of this report and the incident remains under investigation.
