One person is dead and two others are injured following a weekend crash in Anderson County. The two vehicle collision happened around 8:30 Saturday morning on Highway 76 and Royal American Road , about 2 miles west of Anderson.

Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway of the South Carolina Highway Patrol says, that a Dodge Sedan tried to enter U.S. 76 from Royal American Road and was hit by a Ford Mustang. Both drivers were injured in the crash and were taken to Anmed Hospital.
A passenger in the Dodge was also taken to Anmed, but died there from injuries suffered in the crash. The victim has been identified as 75 year old, Martha Dawson of Anderson.
