Three people are facing charges in connection to a murder in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The Cherokee Indian Police Department says the victim, Thomas Pheasant Jr., was shot multiple times at a home on Gallimore Road last Saturday.
An investigation uncovered that his body was dumped in the area of New Found Gap in the Smoky Mountains. Three suspects have been arrested in connection to the incident.
They include Timothy Jason McCoy, Derrick Jenkins and Victoria Thompson. McCoy is charged with murder and other crimes. Jenkins and Thompson are charged with accessory after the fact and obstruction of justice.
The incident remains under investigation by the Cherokee Indian Police Department.
