One person is dead and a suspect is in custody after a domestic dispute lead to a shooting Tuesday morning at an Upstate home. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in Cowpens around 12:40 AM, Tuesday.
Upon arrival, deputies found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Investigators say, they spoke to a witness and learned she had been in a relationship with the victim and the suspect was her son.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where they later died. Investigators then arrested The woman's son, 28 year old Brandon Tyler Crocker. He's charged with murder, a weapons violation and the ill treatment of animals.
The Sheriff's Office says the incident is still under investigation. The Coroner's Office has not released the identity of the deceased, as of the time of this report.
