Fortunately an ankle injury to a passenger was the worst of the human consequences when the "Hagar the Horrible" hot air balloon sailed into some trees in midtown Anderson Sunday morning.

The balloon was taking part in the "Hot Air Affair," during the Celebrate Anderson event at the Sports and Entertainment complex. The balloon struck the trees, it's basket slamming down to the ground, about 9:30 along Bleckley Street.

The pilot was unhurt, the woman passenger, treated for the ankle injury... and a bucket truck helped the crew retrieve the balloon from the tree. The FAA is investigating the incident.
