The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is conducting a homicide investigation after one person was shot Tuesday evening. Deputies, detectives and forensics responded to the area of Ivy Circle just off of Highway 29, just east of Anderson.
Dispatchers got a call regarding a domestic dispute just before 8:30pm, leading to shots being fired. The Anderson County Coroner has identified the man shot as 29 year old John Stevens.
The Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer in a statement says this is an active investigation and there is no threat to the public at this time.
