
One person has been hospitalized and two were unaccounted for as of 1:30 this afternoon after a massive building in Charlotte, Thursday morning. WBT News is reporting, that the blaze happened in the Southpark area of the Queen City at an apartment building that was under construction.
Fifteen workers were rescued from the building including one that was on a crane. One of the workers was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. The urban inferno reportedly started on the building's 2nd floor when a foam spraying machine being used in the renovations, caught on fire and those flames then spread to other floors.

At the height of the inferno flames as high as 15 stories were reported. The Charlotte Fire Department says, they were able to eventually contain the five alarm blaze.
Several streets were closed in the area today, due to the incident. More injuries could be announced, we plan to have more on this story as new details emerge.
