An out of state man is dead after he drowned in Upstate lake. The Abbeville County Coroner's Office says, 50 year old Russell McCory of Georgia drowned around 9 PM Wednesday night.
Officials say, he drove his car into Lake Russell at the Calhoun Falls State Park. McCory reportedly called 911 telling them he had gotten last and couldn't get out of his car, as it was filling up with water.
